A few weeks ago I tried some indian food with a friend. Firstly we had trouble to find the entrance but never mind. We found it somehow :D. The place was kind of decorated as one would imagine an indian restaurant to be. Very colourful, with candles and lights everywhere. When looking through the menu it turned out that it was some kind of pakastani restaurant. But nevertheless the food was good and the icecream was really tasty. The thing is, it was the first time I've ever tried "indian" food. I kind of felt like I hadn't tried the real thing. You know, like with all the different chutneys, sauces and dips to dip in your naan bread and such things... Also it was weird that we had to speak in english with the waitress, but probably that just speaks in favor for how authentic the food is? However it was a nice evening and spending time with one of your favourite people is always great.
Favourite quote of the evening: W:" Indian spicy?" T:"Um, how hot is it?" L:"It's like vietnamese spicy. You'll be okay." T: "Um, sure. Indian spicy then." Turned out Indian spice hits you with delay. First you swallow the food and nothing. It tastes alright, there are herbs, there is spice but hot? No,no... And then BAM, it hits you and you are sipping none stop from your lassi.
